Have you ever had the misfortune of coming into contact with bed bugs? If so, I’m sure you said, “get rid of these bed bugs now!” Sure no one wants to live with these blood sucking pests for a day longer than they have to. However, there is a reason that they have made a comeback in recent years, almost to the point of an epidemic.
It’s because bed bugs have managed to become immune to the treatments previously known to eradicate them. This means that pest management professionals have had to change their treatments over the years, constantly researching and testing new products. Bed bugs cannot be eliminated by over the counter products. Only a trained pest management professional is equipped to handle the infestation.
Bed bug treatments are labor intensive and require numerous visits. The initial treatment will kill off the adults. Follow up visits are required in order to kill the newly hatched eggs. And just because you think only one room is affected doesn’t mean that these suckers won’t travel to another room in your home. A thorough treatment of the entire house must be performed to ensure that all of the pests have been eliminated.
